The Ramadan table can't be devoid of delicious sweets,which the holy month is famous for and women strive to offer the most delicious kinds of oriental desserts in the holy month, especially since there are certain items that top the Ramadan scene, the most prominent of which are "Konafa","Al Qatayef ","Umm Ali" and  "Basbousa", despite the emergence of new varieties of sweets, on top of which are the different types of konafa, such as "Nablusiya" and "Othmaniya", but the authentic Egyptian oriental dessert remains a special place among the Egyptians and among the most prominent varieties of sweets that Egyptians love "Baklava" that small layers which can carry the flavor of nuts, custard, cream and get a different taste for it every time you change your flavor. It can also be diversified in the form of its presentation through its work in the form of "fingers" or medium-sized squares.

Baklava with raisins and coconut:


Six layers of dough baklava.
Three tablespoons of vegetable corn oil.
Three tablespoons of ghee.

Filling components:

Three tablespoons of raisins.
Three tablespoons of grated coconut.

Sugar Sauce components:

A glass of water.
Two cups of sugar.
Half a cup of fresh lemon.

Put the water, sugar and lemon in a deep saucepan over medium heat.
Stir the ingredients together well.
Leave the resulting mixture on medium heat for a quarter of an hour, until it boils completely.
Remove the pan from the heat, and set aside to cool.
Spread the tray with oil,and put the layers,using a brush with oil or ghee.
Repeat the step with the first three layers of baklava.
Put the filling, then the baklava layers and each time brush the leaves with ghee or oil.
Spread the last layer,brushed it with oil,cut it into squares and set it aside for a quarter of an hour, until it is rested slightly.
Put the tray in a preheated oven at medium heat and leave it for at least half an hour until it is completely cooked.
Take the tray out of the oven and set it aside for about a quarter of an hour until you rest a little.
Chop up the baklava, put it in a serving dish, pour sugar sauce over it and serve directly.
